This Swedish-owned computer technology firm develops software that advertises industrial products 3-dimensionally on the Internet for companies including Boeing, Herman Miller Furniture, Palm and Toyota. Serving primarily as a sales office, Cycore’s U.S. headquarters required a traditional programming of space, including reception, open office space and conference room. The simplicity in plan is met with a richness of material and color to relate to the company’s role as an innovator of presentation technology. Maple floors softly reflect the indirect light above. Orange painted circulation spine walls enhance by contrast the glass-walled conference room and wood slat adjustable divider. For an office full of telephones, a lowered ceiling height in potentially loud areas and acoustic upgrades for the ceiling tiles bring quiet and calm.
