Residential: TWIN REFLECTIONS Coastal Retreat

  • Twin Reflections Coastal Retreat: New Greenbuild Construction, 2007
Size: 7,500 s.f.
Location: San Mateo Coast, California

This coastal California villa is a retreat for a family from Chicago. The plot’s Pacific Coast frontage enjoys several panoramic views. The design emerged from the dreams and specifications of the family. Their enthusiasm for environmental integration allowed PWA to apply some innovative environmental design concepts. Planning considerations include minimal consumption of existing agricultural lands, preservation of endangered species’ lands, and low visibility from the nearby road, farmlands and coast.
