Weiss House: Energy Efficient Master Plan, 2010 Size: 4,000 s.f. of conditioned space Location: Los Altos Hills, California Anticipated Energy Conservation - 38% Energy efficient master planning combines whole house energy improvements with architectural and quality of life alterations. The architectural improvements to this large house included a new contemporary cement plaster exterior finish and interior alterations, which will improve the circulation and usability of the house. The major energy deficiencies in the house included excessive duct leakage, and poor performing roof insulation.
